Rafter is an accomplished photographer & art director, emphasizing beauty, creative expression and craftsmanship in all her portraits, fashion and fine-art work.
Rafter was born in Norway and began her career in Oslo as an art director, graphic designer, animator and illustrator. Rafter worked as an art director in Lausanne, Switzerland, then studied graphic design at St. Joost in Holland and at Parsons NY.
It was however in photography that Rafter found ease and free-flowing creative joy. A destined dream mentorship with legendary photographer Francesco Scavullo cemented her love and passion for photography. Rafter graduated from Parsons School of Design with a degree in Photography in 1996.
After decades of dividing her time between Oslo and New York, Rafter currently resides in Oslo Norway.
